1. Inspiration from the Abyss
In 2020, marine engineer Alex Ren found himself in peril during a dive in the Philippines—a powerful current swept him into a coral labyrinth, and his bulky traditional gear nearly suffocated him. After his escape, he assembled a team of fluid dynamics experts, underwater robotics engineers, and deep-sea explorers, vowing to redefine underwater mobility. Thus, X-Turn™ was born.
Core Conflict: Traditional diving equipment restricts the dialogue between humans and the ocean, while deep-sea exploration demands a lighter, smarter propulsion system.
2. Think Like a Fish
The name X-Turn™ originates from 'Tuna' - one of the ocean's most efficient swimmers. 'Turn' represents the ability to navigate through water with agile freedom. Inspired by biomimicry, our team developed an ultra-quiet vortex propulsion system. Using AI algorithms to dynamically adjust thrust, it enables users to maneuver as flexibly as marine creatures while increasing endurance by 50%.

3. Born for Explorers
X-Turn™ is more than a machine—it’s an extension of freedom in the deep. We serve:
- Scientists: In the Maldives’ coral restoration project, X-Tun enabled researchers to cover 3x the area in daily monitoring.
- Adventurers: In 2024, explorer Lena Kovács shattered solo cave-diving records with X-Tun.
- Conservationists: Partnered with Ocean Cleanup to design custom modules for deep-sea debris collection.

In 2025, we launch Project Neptune, developing next-gen propulsion for deep-sea archaeology and extraterrestrial oceans (e.g., Europa).
Our Team
Our company originated from the "Guangdong Innovation Team," whose core members include IEEE Fellows, professors, and young PhD holders. In 2016, the team established operations at the Guangdong Industrial Technology Research Institute of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, where we conducted five years of scientific research and practical development to create a comprehensive series of unmanned surface vehicle (USV) technologies and product lines.
Xiaotun Intelligent (Brand: X-Turn™) was officially founded in July 2020 with the mission of industrializing the team's earlier research achievements. To date, we have applied for over 40 intellectual property rights in unmanned systems, including more than 30 invention patents.
